The 17th International ACM SIGACCESS Conference on Computers and Accessibility - Posters and Demos (ASSETS 2015)
Lisbon, Portugal, October 26-28, 2015
Summary
Project Eye-Helper is an ongoing pursuit in the Olin College Crowdsourcing and Machine Learning Lab. We aim to create a wearable device combining computer vision and crowdsourcing to help the blind shop for groceries without relying on sighted in-store personnel. Through agile development, we are rapidly producing prototypes that can be used immediately for co-design. As such, we have prototyped with conventional video cameras and Google's 3D mapping tablet.
